Who am I ?

Bahij Al-Khoury: a hybrid interactive designer and front-end developer with deep understanding of how the web works.

Philosophy

I love to create intuitive designs and can quickly flip the design comp into a working UI using the latest techniques with HTML / CSS / jQuery with standards. Having a good understanding of how design techniques are implemented on the web allows me to make quick and wise decisions and also allows me to think further into my designs. I am not only concerned with aesthetics but also have high respect for functionality, performance, and user flow from beginning to the end.

What I use ?

I’m extremely passionate about the web, design, animation, typography, web standards, user experience & photography; I’ve been designing websites since 1999, so what I use for that:

I like so much my “Mac Mini” late 2012 (quad core i7) with my dual “Asus” monitors, it’s too much for what I use, my main application for web editing and coding is “Atom”, my “Photoshop” replacement is “Pixelmator” and I use “MAMP” as local php server.

What I like ?

I enjoy being physically active, and spend a lot of time practicing bodybuilding, I like arts and crafts, watching movies “Star Wars and The Lord of The Ring fan”, listing to music “most genres”, photography, Apple stuffs “yes an Apple fanboy”, Lego, and Jesus.
